R'closet is your closet!

Need an outfit for an interview, career fair, internship, presentation, or your first day on the job? The R’Professional Career Closet provides free professional attires to current UCR students. Stop by the Career Center, browse what’s available, and take home up to three items per quarter.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–4:00 PM
Who can use it: Current UCR students
What to bring: Your R’Card
Cost: Free
Conditions: 3 Items per quarter

How It Works

Check in. Visit the Career Center front desk and check in specifically for the R’Professional Career Closet—even if you are already visiting the Career Center for another service.
Bring your R’Card. A current UCR student ID is required.
Browse the Closet. Find professional attire that works for you. If you would like to use the fitting room, check out the fitting room key and leave your backpack at the front desk.
Choose your items. Students may receive up to 3 items per quarter. A full suit counts as 3 items, with a limit of one full suit per academic year.
Check out. Complete the R’Closet checkout process before leaving. Your items are yours to keep—completely free.

Build Your Professional Wardrobe

Depending on current inventory, students may find:

Suits, blazers, and jackets
Dress shirts and blouses
Dress pants and skirts
Professional dresses
Ties and other professional accessories

Please note: Items that do not meet R’Closet donation guidelines may be donated to another organization.

UCR Career Center | 8 AM – 5 PM | Campus Map (Recommended location for campus partners).
Lothian Residence Hall | 8 AM – 10 PM | Campus Map (Recommended location for community partners, park in free short-term parking in Lot 14).

Host a Donation Drive

Rally your work colleagues and/or members of your professional association to make it a group collection. We will provide donation boxes and marketing materials as well as coordinate drop-off/pick-up accommodations. Complete this Request a Donation Drive Form and our team will be in touch to coordinate with you!

Planning a student program or a professional development event? Explore ways to partner with us. We welcome a variety of collaboration opportunities, such as:

Borrowing a rack of blazers for your own event—perfect for a professional headshot day or an “interview-ready” style showcase.
